NurbsSweptSurface

NurbsSweptSurface describes a generalized surface that defines a path in 2D space and constant cross section that may be 2D or 3D. Conceptually it is the NURBS equivalent of the Extrusion node but permits the use of non-closed cross sections. It contains a crossSectionCurve [X3DNurbsControlCurveNode] and a trajectoryCurve [NurbsCurve]

Interface

Filter: X3D only | Avalon only | All
id Name DataType PartType Default ValueType Description
SFNode crossSectionCurve SFNode inputOutput NurbsControlCurveNode 2D or 3D curve for describing a constant cross section of the path
SFNode trajectoryCurve SFNode inputOutput NurbsControlCurveNode The trajectory curve is a 2d curve in the xz-plane that describes the path over which to trace the cross-section.
SFBool ccw SFBool inputOutput TRUE ccw = counterclockwise: ordering of vertex coordinates orientation. Hint: ccw false can reverse solid (backface culling) and normal-vector orientation.
SFBool solid SFBool inputOutput TRUE Setting solid true means draw only one side of polygons (backface culling on), setting solid false means draw both sides of polygons (backface culling off). Warning: default value true can completely hide geometry if viewed from wrong side!
SFNode metadata SFNode inputOutput MetadataObject container for payload metadata inside MetadataSet element
